I ordered up their Mac-n-Cheese which is made with a cheddar-pimento mix and topped with crunchy Cheez-Its (which remind me of my Granddaddy). If you want insult with your injury, for $2 more you can make it sloppy -- and get it topped with CapMac's bolognese sauce. Yep, I did.
CapMac's Mac-n-Cheese, Sloppy Style |
Other menu items from CapMac today were marinated chick peas, potato leek & bacon soup, chicken parm meatballs and beef bolognese. For dessert, they had a seasonal risotto rice pudding that came with Bartlett pear with brown butter, brown sugar and honey soaked raisins.

I love CapMac's Mac and Cheese. It's creamy and the extra crunchiness/saltiness from the Cheez Its is great. Now I'm hungry...
I have yet to get anything from any of the food trucks but this looks so good!
I stumbled onto your blog from foodtruckfiesta.com and I too am a Florida girl in DC and I really enjoying reading your posts. The CapMac truck is excellent (have you had their chicken parm meatballs?). On a random note - where did you get Cuban bread in DC?! I've been looking all over the place for it.
:)
Melissa - sadly, I don't think there is any good Cuban bread north of Tampa! I eat @FLmeetsDC to get a Cuban sandwich fix (though its not the same) and am excited to check out @SaboraStreet (just launched Cuban sliders).
Are you on Twitter? Tweet me at @floridagirlindc and I'll add you to my Floridians in DC list... its a fun crew...
You are right about sloppy. It won't look more sloppy than that
