2010: Best Bites in DC

Ok, ok, enough with the far-away-restos... here were my fave bites that I snapped in 2010 right here in Washington, DC (in chronological order):

Cucumber Martini at Blue Duck Tavern

Lobster Cobb Salad at Smith & Wollensky (tastes better the first weekend the patio is open in Spring!)

District Taco on Saturdays at Courthouse Farmers Market

Mussels & Frites at Belga Cafe
 Many more after the jump...

The Obama Special (Eggs, Bacon on Sausage, Grits or Hashbrowns and Short Stack) at Florida Avenue Grill
Rays' Hellburger

Crispy Lemon Olives from Commonwealth
Duck Fat Fries Three Ways from BourbonSteak

Cooking Classes at 1789

Watermelon Feta Salad at Zaytinya
Secret Bar Lunch Special: The Mexican Hot Dog + a Pint at BourbonSteak Lounge

I don't remember the name, but I remember the taste & texture! This was a peach concoction from Equinox that was soft and crunchy and meriguey perfection.

Latte from Filter Coffeehouse

Lunch Specials at Jaleo. My fave part was the Apple Fennel Manchego Salad!

Macarons at Cacao

Trotters Tots at Dino (pork + tater tot = heaven)

White Bean Puree, Bacon, Tomato, Mozzarella & Arugula Piza at Ella's

Delighted to see that BourbonSteak added my favorite Florida snack - fried pickles - to the bar menu. They pair hella good with the lobster corn dogs!
What did I miss? I'll add it to my MUST TRY list for 2011!

PS. There was plenty more delicious to be had... but these were the best of the ones I snapped pics of this year.

You must go to Domku in Petworth! They have great infused vodkas. And we have to meet in 2011 in Baltimore! Happy New Year!
